Steelhead Flies

Gotta stay with some favorites like the G.R. Hare’s Ear. Found a new source of dubbing!

Another old favorite I just can not get away from tying for steelhead. The Brown Fork-Tail Prince Nymph.

My Brownbagger Carpetbagger is a take on this pattern called the Agent Orange. Good larger, heavy fly to use in a two fly offering.

Played around with legging material this winter. I like the spandex material legs best because they are easy to put bends in.

Another good small dropper fly that like the Hare’s Ear and Prince Nymph should see a lot of steelhead.

Found some old interesting green chenille in my material bins.

After hearing of some success with the green material in this form at the Modoc Bar in February, I tied up a few with silver beads to take along on my  visits there.
